Hurrah!
Welcome to the newest edition of e-Me!
I have finally finished my first ever WordPress theme just in time for some iPhone blogging over the May bank holiday from my tent, somewhere in the UK. While I usually prefer to write my own PHP code for my websites, I decided to try WordPress out to see how it performs and quite frankly, I’m impressed! My sites used to take weeks to write (come on, I have a full time job and get bored easily!) when I decided I wanted a new design, even though the code pretty much stayed the same, it was an arse editing all the files. With WP I can simply hack up a new theme, upload it and tada! New site!
Over the past few years that I’ve had domain names (and they’ve varied quite dramactically!) I’ve always deleted my old databases (including old blog posts!) so I’ll have to start from scratch on this one, but using WP means I can keep them all from now on when I get bored of my designs. Funkette!
I do usually get quite bored of writing blogs and tend to slack a bit but I’m hoping that now I can post images easily, control stupendous amounts of the site through WP, add new features quickly (thanks to plugins!) AND post blogs from my iPhone, I’ll actually be more inclined to update this wonderous thing!
