A day in the Pride

Posted 17:07, August 30th, 2010 in General

5 folks, 3 boys, 2 girls, 1 Manchester Gay Pride.

I’m not interested in men in the slightest. I do however, enjoy a good knees up (and that’s not a euphemism) so Saturday (28th) I found myself heading to Manchester dressed as a character from the film “An Officer And A Gentleman” intent on partying the whole day. The only reason I agreed to go was; I figured party + lots of people + lots of booze = good times.

Google Wave

Posted 21:22, November 24th, 2009 in General, Interwebs

I’ve read 3 or 4 Google Wave reviews but none of them really prepared me for the wonder that is the Wave. The reviews I read were pretty short and sweet, explaining that Wave is an online collaboration tool (which, in all fairness, it is) and that was pretty much it.

At this point, most of them decided to go about explaining the layout of Wave and which box does what, none of them, however, actually sold Wave.

For a few weeks I’d pondered whether to bother asking Google for a beta invite or not and many a time filled in the required form, but never got round to submitting the request, mainly because I don’t know anyone else that has Wave access and thought it was pretty useless without knowing someone to collaborate with. How wrong.

New design

Posted 01:44, October 26th, 2009 in General

Over the past week, as I’ve been doing a lot of website work lately, I decided to change my site yet again, I know I last changed the design in May this year but I really grew bored of it within a month and began hating it, I think that is the main reason as to why I hardly post anything on it, hopefully with a design I actually like I might post more. I’ve also been told not to post boring crap like my “old and new” post which just rambles on about how I painted the office and setup a hi-fi in it. Thrilling eh.

Anyway, no doubt there are a few bugs in the new design and I may need to redraw something, yet again, but so far, I’m quite pleased with it, its a new design route I’ve never explored before, using a landing page that is still technically a page with content, just different to the other pages (so as to not put people off, the kind that skip sites when they get a “splash” page, as they have no content other than “enter here” usually).

Hope you enjoy!
